Introduction Journal Exercise
You will Need:
Obtain a spiral bound journal or binder, with dividers and paper. This can be as customized as you would like it to be, or as simple. It needs to suit you and be practical enough to use on a daily basis to record your sensory basselines, dreams, and any details and results from your craftworkings
The Exercise
The beginning journaling exercises are based on loose assocaition exercises for Writers, but will help you identify your critical voice and get you into the practice of writing. To begin you will set aside time write one whole page, in handwriting. There is no topic required, but you must fill page with whatever comes to mind. If a thought enters your head, write it down. If you’ve had a dream, write it down. If there are no thoughts explore how you are feeling in that moment, anxious, intimidated, fear of criticism, etc..until you fill both sides. There will be exercises based off of this at a later time, this is just the base exercise to get you into a routine. Please try to do this around 3 times a week.
